Luke 1:45 “‘Blessed
is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill His promises to her!’”
It’s been awhile since I’ve had time to really sit down and write a blog post. Even this post will be brief because of time constraints, but it’s better than nothing.
Last week International Women’s Day
was a thing and I happened to open to this verse. Coincidence? I think not.
I often
find myself reading and writing about verses directed towards men or people in
general, but it’s nice to find a verse that uses the feminine pronoun for a change. It makes it feel more personal. I imagine this is partly why transgender
people really appreciate their preferred pronouns being used, but that’s a
topic for another time. All I know is
that on a day dedicated to women it’s important to address all women and all of
their struggles and let them know that faith can help them push through.
I know,
for me personally, I often just have to close my eyes, breathe, and tell myself
that things will work themselves out; I’ll survive. Whether if it’s stressing about money or
relationships or just trying not to bust the copier at work with a baseball bat
because it jammed for the 5th time in 30 minutes, I have found that
stepping outside of myself and remembering that God will see through the way he
wants me to is comforting. It helps me
stay in check and keeps my mind a little bit lighter.
